Hypothyroidism is a condition in which your dog or cat's thyroid gland fails to function properly, either due to inflammation or aging. The symptoms of an underactive thyroid is that your pet may show signs of weight gain, low energy, hair loss and dry skin as well as behavioral issues such as anxiety or aggressiveness.
