Seizures in Cat

Question

My cat has recently been on Easesure and he is still having petit mal seizures, although not as frequent. Can I increase the dosage?

Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry to Holistic Pet Info. You may increase the Easesure dose by doubling the amount 3 times a day or giving the 2-3 drops 4 times a day.

Please keep in mind that all sources of the seizures must be addressed. Causes like toxic chemicals, infection or a brain tumor may likely not respond to Easesure or conventional medicines such as phenobarbitol or potassium bromide.

A good quality whole protein, no grain diet without preservatives or food dyes is an excellent foundation for a non-toxic diet. The website www.canine-epilepsy.com though geared for dogs has some great general references about nutrition, medication and supplements. Best of luck.
