Super EPA-VET is a fish oil supplement that provides an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids for cats and dogs.
Omega 3 fatty acids help to maintain healthy cholesterol levels, reduce blood pressure, stabilize irregular heart rhythms and reduce clotting of blood platelets.
The omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are also supportive of healthy brain function. EPA and DHA are not just important during periods of increased brain growth that characterize prenatal and postnatal development, they are important throughout life. In particular, cognitive functioning in the aging animal can be supported by DHA and EPA.
Adding omega 3 fatty acids to your pet's diet will increase the production of non-inflammatory eicosanoids and decrease inflammation. Reducing inflammation can help improve skin conditions and stiff joints.
Each bottle contains 90 gelcaps.
Each gelcap contains:
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)(from fish oil)...425 mg.
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)(from fish oil)...270 mg.
Other Ingredients: Gelatin (from tilapia) and Glycerin (vegetable source) capsule, Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols).
Contains ingredient derived from fish (gelatin = tilapia) (fish oil = anchovy, sardine, mackerel).
Dosage for cats: 1 gelcap daily.
Dosage for dogs: 1 gelcap for every 25 lbs body weight.
Note: Super EPA-VET gelcaps are large and may be difficult to adminster to cats and smaller dogs. The gelcaps may be pierced and mixed into food.
If giving more than one gelcap, divide between AM and PM feedings
