Hepagen-Fc by Thorne Research - Support for your cats and small dogs with liver disease.

The effects of toxins in the environment, food and water can be very hard on the liver.  Hepagen-Fc provides the beneficial herbs milk thistle (silymarin) and tumeric, with antioxidants and important nutrients for liver detoxification. Hepagen Fc can be used to:

• Protect hepatic cells
• Promote phase I and II detoxification
• Support healthy glutathione levels

Each bottle contains 60 capsules.

Each capsule contains:

L-Methionine.....22.5 mg.
L-Methionine helps metabolize fats, preventing their build-up in the liver. It is an essential sulfur-containing amino acid and helps maintain glutathione. Glutathione is the liver's most important detoxifier.

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine.....22.5 mg.
NAC is a powerful liver detoxifier. One of its most important functions is in its ability to recycle glutathione to its reduced state. 

Dimethylglycine (DMG)....11.3 mg.
DMG is a derivative of glycine, the simplest amino acid. It is a building block for many importance substances, including methionine and choline. 

Inositol.....11.3 mg.
Inositol is required for proper formation of cells membranes. It helps transport fats and remove fat from the liver.

Milk Thistle Phytosome*(Silybum marianum extract (seed) .....11.3 mg.
Silybum marianum comes from the herb milk thistle. It has a powerful liver protectant and liver restorative properties. Numerous studies have shown that Silymarin will lower liver enyzme values. The antioxidant activity of silymarin appears to stabilize hepatocyte membranes, neutralize free radicals, and maintain liver glutathione levels.

Curcuma Phytosome* (Curcuma longa extract (root) ...11.3 mg.
Curcuma longa, also called Tumeric, has been used traditionally as a hepatoprotectant and cholegogue in both Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. Its beneficial effects may be due to the fact that the constituent, curcumin, is a potent antioxidant and it helps maintain a normal anti-inflammatory response.

Pyridoxal 5'phosphate (Vitamin B6) ....1.3 mg.
Pyridoxal 5'phosphate acts as a cofactor for enzymes, catalyzes reactions with amino acids, and aids in the synthesis of nonessential amino acids.

Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12) .....12.5 mcg.
Vitamin B12 is required for proper digestion and absorption of food. This essential vitamin is needed for the formaton of new red blood cells and for healthy nerves. It may become deficient in chronic liver disease, causing a variety of problems, including anemia.

Each bottle contains 60 capsules.

Dosage for Cats: 2 capsules daily.
Dosage for Small Dogs: 1 capsules for per 10 lbs body weight twice daily.

Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven.

If animal's condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian.

May be a GI irritant. Do not use in high doses with anticoagulant drugs or patients with stomach ulcers. .
