Arthroplex - Glucosamine for Dogs and cats
Veterinarian-formulated Arthroplex contains glucosamine sulfate, one of the safest and most widely-researched ingredients for arthritis (osteoarthritis) pain and stiffness. Glucosamine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity, and unlike NSAIDS and corticosteroids, glucosamine sulfate works to maintain joint health.
Each bottle contains 180 capsules.
Each capsule contains:
Glucosamine Sulfate...225 mg.
Glucosamine sulfate is one of the best-known and safest ingredients for promoting joint health. It is a precursor of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), including hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate, an essential component of the cartilage matrix. Considerable animal research indicates glucosamine sulfate's effectiveness in maintaining joint health.
Vitamin C...100 mg.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) enhances collagen formation and cartilage growth. Ascorbic acid has been shown to help maintain healthy cartilage.
Green-lipped mussels...90 mg.
Green-lipped mussels are rich in all the major classes of Glycosaminoglycans, including chondroitin-4 and 6-sulfates.
DL-Phenylalanine...75 mg.
DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA) is a component of the catecholamine neurotransmitter cascade, leading to increased levels of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine, which can in turn increase levels of endorphins and enkephalins.
Boswellia Serrata extract...35 mg.
Boswellia serrata extract is a gum resin from a tree native to India, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. Animal studies have demonstrated Boswellia helps maintain a normal inflammatory response.
Bromelain...35 mg.
Bromelain stimulates fribrinolytic activity and inhibits thromboxane A2, which also helps maintain a healthy inflammatory response.
Natural bacon flavoring.
Contains ingredient derived from shellfish.
Each bottle contains 180 capsules.
Cats (all): One capsule daily; as long as needed.
Dogs: Two to three capsules for every 50 lbs of body weight taken twice daily for two weeks then once daily as long as needed.
