Email Inquiries

Although we are not able to answer every question that is sent to us, we try to answer as many as possible. (Before submitting a question, please see if a similar question has already been answered by Dr. Smith on the FAQ page.)

To help us understand your pet's condition, please include the following information in your email.

  • Age of your pet, the breed and whether it has been spayed or neutered.
  • What conventional diagnosis or treatments has your pet undergone?
  • What supplements or medicines is your pet currently taking?
  • What is your pet's current diet?
  • Is your pet overweight or trim?
  • Have there been any recent changes in appetite? Or changes in urination or defecation routine?
  • Are you currently seeking help from a veterinarian? Is your veterinarian conventional or holistic?

Send your inquiry to Ask A Vet -- be sure to provide as much information as possible. (See questions above.)

Regular Check Ups are Best

Holistic Pet Info provides consultations to help answer questions you may have about our products and nutraceuticals in general. We are here to provide advice -- we are not a replacement to your own veterinarian.

Before introducing your pet to nutraceuticals, we always recommend that your pet be seen by his/her veterinarian. Annual visits with your pet's veterinarian are important for a few reasons:

  • Routine blood work and other tests can often detect the early stages of a disease, sometimes before any symptoms appear.
  • Your vet can access the overall health of your pet by feeling his joints, examining the condition of her coat, eyes, ears and teeth, and listening to his heart.
  • Your vet's observations and the results of medical tests are crucial for developing a successful treatment plan.

If your beloved pet has an ongoing medical condition, it is even more important to see your vet on a regular basis so that they can monitor any changes in your pet's health and recommend the appropriate treatments.
