Vetri-Liver Feline Soft Chews - Supports Proper Liver Function in Cats

Vetri-Liver Feline Chews by Vetri-Science contains fifteen synergistic liver support factors in a highly palatable chicken liver flavored soft chew formula designed to support liver health, methylation and detoxification functions.

Vetri-Liver for cats provides nutrients that support:

Phase I and Phase II Liver Detoxification Pathways
  • Phase I detoxification neutralizes unwanted chemicals by converting toxins like drugs, hormones, pesticides, pollutants, food additives, and various toxins into less harmful substances. During this process free radicals are produced which, if excessive, can damage liver cells. Nutrients that support this process are B vitamins, Vitamin E, Folic acid, Glutathione, and antioxidants.
  • Phase II detoxification removes unwanted substances from the body by converting them into water-soluble chemicals that can be easily excreted via bile and urine. Ingredients that support Phase II processes include Glutathione and Cysteine, and Turmeric. Phase II is also called the conjugation pathway because this is where the liver cells add another substance (cysteine, glycine or a sulphur molecule) to a toxic chemical or drug to make it less harmful. It’s during this process that free radicals are generated which, if excessive, can damage the liver cells.

The nutrients in Vetri-Liver Feline were selected for the following benefits:

  • Gluta-Syn supports the production of glutathione and detoxification of the liver.
  • Dimethylglycine supports the production of glutathione, SAMe, and sulfur based amino acids.
  • Betaine (TMG) supports the production of DMG and glutathione.
  • N-Acetyl Cysteine is for antioxidant support, sulphur donation and for the production of glutathione.
  • Milk Thistlesupports glutathione levels and liver detoxification.
  • Turmeric supports liver and gall bladder function by stimulating the flow of bile and to provide antioxidant support.
  • Artichoke Leaf Extract helps normalize liver metabolism and promote bile flow.
  • Vitamin A helps protect the liver against free radicals.
  • Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that helps protect the liver from copper accumulation.
  • Zinc acts as an antioxidant by inhibiting lipid peroxidation and helps protect against fibrosis.
  • B Vitamins supports energy and methylation reactions.
Each bag contains 120 chews.

Amazing liver cleansing product!
My vet recommended these for my 12 year old Maine Coon. He began having vomiting and diarrhea as well as pain and malaise. He looked like he was dying. We did ultrasounds and blood work and they said his liver was enlarged and his lymph nodes swollen and they suspected cancer but couldn't confirm without more testing. After giving my cat these chews 4-6 times per days as per the vet, in about a month he had no more symptoms. It has been 3 months and he is extremely healthy and back to his usual self! Whatever was wrong with his liver this seems to have made a HUGE impact.

Great Help For My Cat
My cat, Tigger, was diagnosed by my vet, after blood work ,with possible liver problems due to high liver enzymes. He had no other symptoms, however, such as fatigue, jaundice, or fluid retention (ascites), so the vet was not sure but told me to give him supplements for his liver. I did research online and found an article by a vet who said make sure any supplement for the liver had certain ingredients. I looked around and found the Vetri-Liver Chews for liver disease in cats, that did have all the supplements recommended. My cat is 14 years old and seems healthy, and after eating the chews he is more energetic and plays like a kitten. I have to cut them up since he has a hard time chewing them. They are too hard for him, although his teeth are good. Just his age, I think. When his enzymes are rechecked, I am sure they will be better. My little Maltese dog loves them, too as does my Siamese cat.

Wouldn't eat chews
Sadly my cat would not eat the chews. Tried breaking them up in her food, but she then refused her food. She is now on three different liquid meds 3x/day from the veterinarian. I would have preferred going the holistic route but it can't help her if she won't take it. I found it somewhat strange that the package says the chews are shaped in an "appealing fish shape", as if cats would care.
