Licorice in Gastriplex
Question:
I bought Gastriplex, but am concerned about the licorice. I've read it is not recommended to cats on a long term basis. Can you offer any information on that? Thanks - the product does seem to be helping my kittie's IBD, but I'm afraid to continue using it.

Thank you for your inquiry to Holistic Pet Info. The licorice in Gastriplex is deglycyrrhizinated, which makes it safe for long-term use.
Have you considered a diet elimination trial to rule out a possible food allergy causing the IBD? Best of luck.
